  • Checkers

A classic board strategy game where two players move pieces diagonally and try to capture each other. The goal is simple: eliminate all opponent pieces or block their moves. It starts easy but quickly turns into a thinking game where one mistake can cost everything.

    Game Description

Checkers looks simple at first, but it gets tricky once you start planning ahead. You move pieces diagonally across the board, jumping over opponents to capture them. Sounds basic, but positioning matters a lot more than beginners expect.

The real challenge kicks in when pieces get promoted to kings. Suddenly, movement opens up and the game becomes less predictable. One bad move and your entire setup can fall apart in a few turns.

Checkers is the kind of game where you’ll lose fast if you play randomly. But once you start thinking two or three moves ahead, it gets way more satisfying.

    How to Play

    • Each player starts with pieces on opposite sides of the board
    • Move pieces diagonally forward one square at a time
    • Jump over opponent pieces to capture them
    • Reach the opposite end to turn your piece into a king
    • Kings can move both forward and backward
    • Win by capturing all opponent pieces or blocking their moves

    Controls

    • Mouse Click / Tap – Select and move pieces
    • Drag (in some versions) – Move piece to target square

    Tips

    • Don’t rush captures — sometimes it puts you in a worse position
    • Keep your back row protected to avoid easy king promotions
    • Think at least 2 moves ahead, not just the next one
